My Background
Completed Master of Music (Performance Teaching) in 2016, Bachelor of Music in 2014 at Melbourne Conservatorium of Music (University of Melbourne).
I have performed on oboe and Cor Anglais with Victorian Youth Symphony Orchestra, Australasian Orchestra, Australian Discovery Orchestra, University of Melbourne Wind Symphony and many more ensembles and groups. I have been making and playing on my own reeds for many years for performances and examinations.
My interest in reed making was encouraged by my first oboe teacher, Andrew Malec (Opera Australia) nearly 10 years ago. He showed me the benefits in tailoring a reed to my personal requirements. Knowing your instrument and having a reed specifically created for you is essential for excellent oboe performances.
I teach performance skills, reed making and adjustment and basic instrument repair and maintenance.
